Uusmaalaisten Laulu composed by Jean Sibelius. 1865-1957. For mixed choir. Octavo. Published by Fennica Gehrman. FG.042-08265-2. ISBN 979-0-042-08265-2. The Southern Finland Fraternity at Helsinki University asked Sibelius in 1912 to write a new song for the province of Uusimaa. A competition was arranged to find a suitable text and the winner was a teacher called Kaarlo Terhi. Sibelius wrote the music in parallel for mixed chorus and male chorus.
