These file(s) are part of the Werner Icking Music Collection. This instrumentation seems to be one of two used by the composer in the 1611 publication, so arrangement in this case was not needed? - Schissel

Navigation etc.
Bargnani's La Monteverde published in 1972 by Musica Rara and listed in that publication as a Canzona. This is edited from the 1611 edition. So first published in 1611, I gather.
There is also a Canzona by Merula with this title (and another by Pietro Lappi, his op.9, ca.1616). -- That said, what was the original form of this work? Is the music typeset an arrangement of a selection from it, or of the whole thing?... Not listed in RISM online it seems (two works, Clori mia bella for organ, and "Quel sospir che dal core" (possibly originally for organ, possibly not, found in tablature) are found there). - Schissel
