Barnhouse (CL.011-2150-00).Taking the old favorite country tune, "New River Train", Spears produces a lighthearted, exciting piece for young band. Opens with the percussion section and hand-clapping imitating an old steam engine getting underway. The band continues in a blues/gospel setting leading eventually to a country/swing section that will bring the audience to their feet.

This series is designed for middle school and junior high school bands, as well as high school bands of smaller instrumentation or limited experience.
